Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to the 1st Edition of the Erasmus+ Library Staff Week hosted by the University Library at Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce, Poland in May 2026.

This event aims to foster the exchange of best practices and strengthen the professional network of academic librarians across Europe. The programme will feature a variety of activities, including presentations, workshops, site visits, and social and cultural events (optional).

Key Details:

  • Dates: Monday, 18th May – Friday, 22nd May, 2026
  • Language of the event: English
  • Cost: Free of charge. However, travel, accomodation, and other personal expenses should be covered by the participants
  • Meals: Daily coffee breaks and a welcome lunch will be provided.
  • Accomodation: Not provided by the organisers
  • Participants: Limited to 15, with a maximum of two participants per institution.
  • Target Audience: Academic library Staff Erasmus+ participants
  • Participant responsibilities: Each participant will be asked to deliver a 15-minute presentation introducing their home institutions (and library services).

The preliminary programme, travel information, and accomodation suggestions are included in the attached materials. Please note that the schedule is subject to minor changes.

Eligibility Requirements. In order to participate in the event, you need to:

  • Be employed at an academic library in an Erasmus+ programme or partner country.
  • Demonstrate English language proficiency at a minimum of B1 level according to the CEFR.
  • Complete the online registration form (link provided below).
  • Submit a brief abstract of your planned presentation in the application form.
  • Follow the Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility Procedure.
